Tribute to Brett Favre. The greatest football player in the history of the NFL – Brett Favre (Green Bay Packers QB and current New York Jet)

After watching Brett Favre in an epic performance tonight against the dynasty team New England Patriots, all I could think to myself is – “Why do I like this guy so much?”
It was weird, after the press conference my boyfriend was almost in tears because of how much he LOVES Brett Favre. It’s always, “Brett Favre this” and “Brett Favre that”. Heck, sometimes he rewinds the damn Wrangler commercials! (What a fan? – or – What a geek?)
But, as much as my boyfriend loves Brett Favre. I like him because he has one key ingredient that ALL WOMEN crave all the time. And that one word is this…… “Passion.”
You can see it in his eyes before the game. You can feel it when he talks into the microphone almost in reverent tones. Brett Favre has “it”. And that “it” is powerful. I LOVE “it”!!!
So, I decided to write a tribute to the greatest football player in the history of the NFL. And yes, I’m a football fanatic (Brett Favre makes me be a fanatic) who has seen numerous great players. Barry Sanders, John Elway, Walter Payton, Mike Singletary, Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice…. each of these players are absolutely spectacular in their own rights. But no one, absolutely NO ONE, plays with more PASSION than Brett Favre.
What the hell were the Green Bay Packers thinking? How could they “let go” or “release” or “trade” the greatest player in the history of the NFL?!?!?! Green Bay Packers fans are watching a sub-par Aaron Rodgers while the New York Jets are playoff bound! It’s amazing! No wonder why John Madden loves the guy so much!
One thing is certain, Brett Favre brings something to the NFL that transcends time itself. As far as I’m concerned, forget about “Stimula” – the Greek goddess of passion. BRETT FAVRE transcends that Greek Goddess! The next time I look in the dictionary to define the term “passion” – I want to see Brett Favre’s picture there.
Anyway, my boyfriend needs to dress up like Brett Favre for Halloween for the rest of his life. Catchin’ my drift ladies? LOL
Here’s a couple of Brett Favre’s statistics – These are statistics BEFORE he went to the New York Jets.

I don’t think that’s even the choices I’d put on the list, necessarily…
Elway got his stats WITHOUT great support from his team. He retired WAY on top, and why not put up some running stats for the QBs — just to show where his overall athletic advantage was.
Elway often won the game pretty much by himself, running play after play where he bootlegged and got first downs and touchdowns…
Favre is great, but there have been a lot of great players. Ronnie Lott. Carl Greene. Joe Montana and Steve Young…
It’s the sort of question there’s no real answer for. I’m thinking that LT will be on your list a few years from now…he’s got more records than almost any player in history now…and he’s still relatively young.
D
I must say he is a good looking man!!!!! He is one of the greatest QB’s ever. But he could never have done what he did if it wasn’t for his teammates.
Keep going BF!!
