Okay, I think everyone can agree that the BCS needs to get re-arranged and fixed. I mean, there’s just so many “subjective” theories out there. The BCS sucks.
Why not let all these teams settle it out on the field? The lower divisions of college football do it, why not the big Division 1 schools?
Texas beat Oklahoma. Oklahoma crushed Texas Tech. Texas Tech got lucky vs. Texas at home. Who goes?
The problem is there is not a “winning” answer. And because of the controversy, the $$$ just keeps rolling in for big time college football.
The winners need to be clear cut. The only question to ask is, “Who won on the field?”
For that reason, Texas must advance to the Big 12 title game and, if they win that game, to the National Championship.
There are so many compulsive arguments from so many different sides. Why not just simplify the process and let the “game do the talking”.
If college football was smart, they’d go to a 16 team tournament with bowl games for the remaining teams to be played sporadically throughout December. TV ratings would still sky rocket and advertisers, college football fans and the whole college football kingdom would be happy. Including the President Elect – Barack Obama.
