QB Colt McCoy and the Texas Longhorns crush QB Sam Bradford and the Oklahoma Sooners – college football rivalry games Red River Shootout

Despite throwing for 388 yards and 5 touchdowns, Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford and the Oklahoma Sooners were unable to top Texas quarterback Colt McCoy and the Texas Longhorns. While the Heisman trophy still looks to be in Sam Bradford’s grasp, it’s apparent that the National Championship trophy is not. Texas won the bitter rivalry game 45-35 and have won 3 of the last 4 in the Red River Shootout.

When Oklahoma linebacker Ryan Reynolds, OU’s leading tackler, went down with an injury with 7 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, Oklahoma simply fell apart defensively. (Oklahoma defense sucks!) They couldn’t stop the run or the pass from that point on in the game.

Texas quarterback Colt McCoy performed with confidence and poise throughout the game. He made electric plays with his feet as well as his accurate arm. With his performance, he moved up on the Heisman watch list as well.
